Last Friday’s Westward Expansion Workshop was fantastic. Check out pics under “Events: pictures.” God granted us good weather, great attitudes, and lots of good memories. UPDATE: More Pics have been added to the slide show!

Looking Ahead: Plans are being made for NWEA testing (TBA) and our annual Beach Day and Field Day events at the end of the school year! Mark your calendars and be looking for more information soon.

Westward Expansion Workshop

Our next major event of the year is this Friday’s (May 18th) Westward Expansion Workshop! Students, teachers, and volunteers will come dressed in costume and ready to participate in a variety of presentations, centers, a traditional meal, and more!

Huge Yard Sale

UPDATE: The yardsale was great! God blessed us with sunny weather and lots of foot traffic. Thanks to all who participated and made the day more enjoyable. And thanks to the “Chicken Barn” in Limington for the use of their location. All proceeds from this event will be used for the 2012-2013 OVCS scholarship fund.

Lots of tools, home goods, furniture, rubber mats for horse barn or garage, and more.

WHEN: THIS Saturday, May 12th (rain date 19th) from 7:00am to 3:00pm

LOCATION: Rt. 25 in Limington at Limington Meadows a.k.a “The Chicken Barn.”

All proceeds to benefit educational programming at OVCS. Come get good deals for a good cause!

Sue Blake for Robert Morrison Project

Sue Blake spoke at chapel today about the work being done to legally publish Christian books in China. She shared about the progress that has been made since her visit to OVCS a year ago. It was encouraging to hear of God’s mighty hand at work across the World.

Two Special Upcoming Events

This Wednesday, March 28th is Grandparent’s/Senior Friend Day at OVCS. This is always such a wonderful event! Grandparents can see the classrooms, enjoy presentations by the students, and participate in our annual kids vs grandparents Jeopardy game. The event is capped off with a free luncheon for all, put on by the PTF.

Academic Day 2012 is fast approaching. Many students have shared that they are making wonderful progress. Projects are due Thursday morning, April 5th. Judging will take place during that day. Friends and Families will come in the evening to view projects and presentations. That evening will also be an open house for prospective families.
