2022 Soccer Kick-Off (and Game Schedule)

The 2022 soccer season is officially in full swing at Ossipee Valley Christian School!

This is always a fun time for the students and coaches, and attending a game a great way for family and community members to show their team spirit and support!

Our soccer program is co-ed, and we currently have four different levels of participation.

Varsity

Our Varsity team is made up of High School students (9^th – 12^th grade), coached by Bill Cookson with Christian Harpin.

We start varsity team practices in early September, and students participate in 10 games through October.

HOME Games are played at the field beside Metcalf’s in Cornish.

The season will end mid-late October (depending on how far we make it).

Preliminaries are the week of Oct 10^th. Quarters are the week of Oct 17^th. Semi-finals and Finals are the week of October 24^th.

Ossipee Valley Christian School is part of the Maine Christian School Sports League (MCSSL).

Junior Varsity

Our Junior Varsity team is made up of 4^th – 8^th grade students, coached by Scott Weirick with Adam and Aaron Smith.

We start JV team practices in early September, and students participate in 6 games through October.

Intermediate

Our Intermediate team is made up of 1st-3rd grade (4th graders are welcome if they do not want to be on the middle school team this year) coached by John Lancaster and Paul Farris.

This group focuses on skills & drills and learning the basics of soccer. We meet once a week for about an hour through mid or late October right at our school.

Pewee

Our Pewee team is primarily Pre-K & Kindergarten students, coached by Kelly Dayfield.

Similar to our intermediate team, this group also focuses on skills & drills and learning the basics of soccer. We meet once a week for up to an hour through mid or late October right at our school.

Mark Your Calendars!

We strongly encourage anyone who is interested to attend a Varsity or JV game (or two) this month. It can be a lot of fun and the players LOVE seeing friends and family show up.
