Her enthusiasm for the subject is contagious, and she delights in seeing her students light up with understanding and curiosity.

Meet Miss Souza
A First Grade Teacher at Ossipee Valley Christian School since 2012.
At Ossipee Valley Christian School, our focus is on nurturing a supportive and engaging educational environment.
Miss Souza, our first-grade teacher, plays a key role in this mission. Her classroom is designed to be a welcoming space where young students can embark on their learning journey with confidence and curiosity.
Miss Souza understands the importance of creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere, allowing each child to feel valued and encouraged to participate fully in class activities.
In her own words:
“Our classroom is a fun and safe place where everyone feels like family. Our days are filled with growth in ministry, in learning and in fun. In our ministry, “Kids Reaching Out”, we pray for an elderly person each month and make cards and goodies to encourage and share God’s love with them. We can be found practicing our spelling words by making a word search for a partner or finding our words hidden around the room. We love learning about God’s amazing world and get a stamp in our passports for a virtual trip to the pyramids in Egypt or a tour around Machu Picchu in Peru or riding an elephant in India. Some days we take actual field trips and get to know the communities right outside our door. We take a fall hike through a preserve or learn about historical artifacts and churn butter at a small-town historical society museum, or visit a local family farm to feed the cows and tap the maple trees. There is always fun and learning happening in first grade!”
“Miss. Souza has been outstanding, always encouraging, sweet, an excellent communicator and always has a way to make learning fun.”
