New Admissions

The WeiricksWelcome to Ossipee Valley Christian School!  For more information about OVCS please call anytime at 207-793-4005.  We look forward to seeing how you might become a part of the OVCS community.

Starting the Admissions Process

The best way to learn about Ossipee Valley Christian School is to visit us in person, observe classes, or join us for a sports or other special event.  Every Tuesday during the months of March, April (aside from spring break), May, and September our campus is open to prospective students and their families.  Please call ahead and join us between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  A campus visit is a requirement prior to admission.

The Paperwork

Complete an application for:

  • Pre-school
  • K-8
  • High School

Applications will be available at the initial meeting with the headmaster.

There are separate forms available for parents of homeschool students.

Interviews are a vital part of the admissions process.  After all application forms have been received by the OVCS office, the office will call to schedule an Admissions Committee interview with parents and prospective students.

This is a time for you to bring all your remaining questions to the Admissions Committee.  It is also a time for us to get to know you and your family better.  The Admissions Committee will notify the parents of admissions status in writing within two weeks of the interview.

Upon acceptance,  a FACTS Tuition Management Agreement must be filled out online, unless tuition will be paid in one or two total payments.  A link to FACTS Tuition Management can be found on this site.

Tuition Assistance

We make admissions decisions independent of the financial aid process.  For families interested in Tuition Assistance, FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment applications are available online (a link can be found on this site).  Tuition assistance is based on family need and availability of funding.  A Tuition Assistance application must be completed by June 30th.  Decisions on assistance will be made within 30 days of receipt by the administration.  No Tuition Assistance will be available after the start of the school year.

  1. Do you hire teacher aides and if you do how do I get an application sent to me?

  2. I may be moving in the area, if my son gets approved for 1st grade this year. I saw that you either pay one payment or 2 payments, does that mean for the whole year? If I do not have an income could I get a grant?

    • Jennifer,

I will send you an e-mail to answer your questions in more detail. I would love to arrange a time for you to see the school and meet Mrs. Elliot. At that time we could sit down and discuss any further questions I may be able to answer for you. Thank you for your interest. I look forward to meeting your family.

Can you tell me what your tuition cost for the year are?
I have 3 children, grades 6th, 3rd, and 1st. Currently they are homeschooled.

  7. I am interested in the preschool program for my son that is 4. If you could pleased give me pricing info and the days each week that he would attend if enrolledThank you

  8. I was just looking for a schooling option for my son for Fall 2015. He’s currently in Kindergarten at Baldwin School, and they are closing after this school year. I went to OVCS for middle school and some Highschool, so I felt that you guys would be a better option than Public School. Now my question is this is there an option of possibly setting up a meeting or anything like that to go over all the school has to offer and everything? Or possibly an Open House? Thanks so much!

  9. We are currently looking for a preschool program for our grandson, and wanted to know a few things. Is your preschool program all day everyday or how is it run. What is the cost? How many children are in the program? and are your teachers college graduates?

    • Susan,

Thanks for inquiring about our preschool program at Ossipee Valley Christian School. Preschool is on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. If you hover over “About OVCS” and click on “Teacher Biographies,” then you can learn more about our preschool teacher, Miss Souza. Also, if you click on her name it will lead you to her class blog, which has lots of wonderful pics of her class in action. I will send you an e-mail with a little more information. I would love to arrange a time for you to visit the classroom and sit down with me to answer additional questions. Thanks, again.

      In His service,
      Scott Weirick

    • Amanda,
I will write you an e-mail and provide you with more info. I will also see if we can arrange a time for you to observe in the classroom and tour the building. 🙂

  11. I want to save up money for my son to go to preschool. He is too young right now, he will be three in September. However, I was wondering if you could send me tuition cost information for the preschool and etc. It’s never too early to save! Thank you very much.

  12. I antes to know how much tuition was for preschool my son will be 4 next month so he should be starting soon. Thanks!

    • Sylvia — Preschool tuition for the 2016-17 school year is $1540, plus a $75 enrollment fee. I would love to arrange a time to meet you, give you a tour, and allow you an opportunity to observe in the classroom. Contact me at or call the school at 793-4005. Thanks.

  13. Hi Mr. Weirick,
    My name’s Amy Dunnells (MacLean)
I was wondering what the tuition is for Kindergarten and Pre K. My daughter Brooklyn will be 5 in December and my daughter shawnna will be 4 next May and I would like to start preparing this year for everything 🙂 I know when I went to OVCS I loved it. It’s the only place I’d trust with my children.

    • Hey Amy,

Glad to hear from you. Your mother has often mentioned, with great joy, that you’d be looking into OVCS when the time was right. I would be glad to send you a packet or have you come by the school (you may enjoy seeing the changes since you were here last). I could discuss tuition amounts and you could spend time observing in the classroom (you’ll absolutely love Miss Souza). Let me know what you’d like to do. My email is: Feel free to contact me. Blessings, Mr. Weirick

  14. My son is only 5 months but we are looking into schooling Christian based. Is there typically a long waiting list?

    • Emily,
Thanks for your question. I appreciate your preparedness. If you begin the application process in the spring leading up to your child’s first year in school, then that will typically be ample time to enroll. If you desire to tour the school, observe in classrooms, or meet with the the headmaster, then those things can be arranged at your convenience. Thank you.

  15. Good afternoon, I am looking to get my daughter into a Christian school she is currently in kindergarten! But I am not sure if I could actually afford the tuition. I was wondering how much tuition cost at your school and if there are anything I could do to actually make it happen! It is a dream to send my daughter and eventually my two younger sons into a Christian school! So any advice I would really appreciate it!! Thank you!

    • Nicole — This is Scott Weirick. I am the Headmaster of the school and would be glad to answer your questions. If you would like to give me a contact number or call the school, then we could start there. It is currently Tuesday the 25th at 1:30 and I am relatively free the remainder of the afternoon if you happen to get this soon. 🙂
