The plan will remain the same, doors open at 5:00 and the auction will start at 6:00. You get a bonus week to bid on silent auction items as it will run until April 12th at 7:00pm.
Announcing the Ossipee Valley Christian School 16th Annual Live Auction, Friday, April 12, 2024 at 6:00pm!
It’s only January, and we are already very busy preparing for this year’s auction! It’s quite a process, that takes us months to complete and requires the help of our entire school community. From contacting donors, collecting donations and taking pictures, to planning the technical needs, setting up for the evening, and just ironing out all the logistics. But we are excited to see it all coming together and it’s always an enjoyable event.
This year’s options will be similar to the last couple of years. We will be offering a hybrid format of both a virtual and an in-person auction. Since our last two years have worked well, we’re optimistic about continuing this hybrid format (in-person/virtual).
Our auction coordinator, Autumn Gagnon, is working hard to continue the great traditions we’ve all come to love about the auction, while continuing to review and expand on our new format.
Two Noteworthy Reminders:
- YouTube Live is the method used for virtual attendance.
- We have an auction page that is directly part of our school website.
I wanted to encourage anyone interested in participating to do two things in preparation for the live event on Friday, April 12th.
- Be sure to establish your own Google and YouTube accounts in order to comment and bid virtually.
- Take a look at the school website at ossipeevalleychristian.org. A Banner has been added to our home page that takes you to the auction page. This page will be your one-stop source for information between now and auction day, including all the details for the event, regularly updated pics as items come in, a list of donors, and more.
Auction Preparation & Bidding
As the event date approaches, it’s a good practice to check the site frequently and map out your personal bidding list! Remember circling items out of the Sears Catalog as a kid? It’s like that! And we expect some friendly competition come auction day — remember, “There are no friends at auctions!” 😊

As a reminder, this event is critical to our school funding. We only have two major fundraising efforts each year, the Fall Work-a-Thon and this Spring Auction. Funds from this event help our school community in a variety of ways, from keeping tuition rates reasonable to building upgrades.
